Electric Chainsaw

got a couple of trees to drop in the garden and be handy to do my logs and firewood ---i soon get fooked using the bow saw these days --- are they any good, things to look out for ,shit ones to avoid ? ----- think i might of posted this before can i fook remember :D

make sure you know where the cable is at all times :angel:

 

 

Did that with some hedge cutters once, spent 20 minutes splicing the wires back together and then cut the cable again straight away :laugh:

my hedge trimmer has more taped joins than cable :laugh:

i cut the cable on the hedge cutters that many times in the end i put some round conduit over the first 3 ft and taped it on job done :laugh::laugh: ....

In the same boat Stig,managing with a bow saw but anything thicker than 4 or 5 inches is a nightmare,I borrowed an electric chainsaw off a pal,to be honest it was garbage....seen a petrol one on flea bay ,brand new 90ish quid if memory serves me right,made by wolf or something like,looked ideal.....just need some funds now :laugh: ATB Dave

I have a reciprocating saw which I used for my kindling. The crappy bits of wood I get for this doesn't justify a chainsaw as it's normally pallets and other stuff but a chainsaw would be handy every now and then. I borrowed my dads electric one adn found it not very good though.

Petrol mate,, I got one this winter for the first time,,,,I look at very bit of woodland, with different eyes now,,,,just taking the dead stuff,,, only takes an hour or two for loads of wood
