Would have come but my dogs never ran from traps only slip so dont think i will bother wasting my fiver. Would of thought alot more lads would be interested if was slips not traps for lurchers

You'd be surprised how many people prefer traps. You get a fairer race, don't really see how someone can slip 3 or 4 dogs evenly by hand-slipping, but that's just my opinion.

You get 2 runs for £5, and you need your own muzzle, but if you don't have one, someone will lend you one.

If you think £5 is a bit steep to race your dog, the organisers have to pay to hire the track for the day so they need to cover their expenses .Also, if you go to watch the greyhounds race, you have to pay to enter the stadium, so imo £5 is quite reasonable.

He's 8 retired him 2 yrs ago but run him at last Highgate meet. Came off sound & happy. Just realised I've committed to run at Askern day before. Pity they clash. R u planning anymore?
