S410 Or S510???

Hi gus whats the different between s410 and s510 any good in between them? and if you have the choice to buy which one come first in the list? cheers

S510 all the way. The cocking mechanism is a lot easier to operate (can do it with one finger) which means there's less disruption to you and you can stay on target more easily in the field and down the range. Less movement also means you can remain still and therefore a bit more stealthy if needed.

 

Love mine to bits and worth the extra pennies in my book.

I've got the S410 in .22. Had it about 5 years, and at the time it was a toss-up between that or the HW100.

 

It's a lovely rifle, cocks smoothly, and is nice and light.

 

It's accuracy is remarkable. It hits pellet on pellet with AA Fields at 50 yards. I used to hit nails at 50 yards, and even flies and bugs when they just to land on the target.

 

I had a go with the S510, but it came out just after I bought my S410. I didn't find any better than the other, the S510 was just a bit easier to cock.

 

All you can do is have a fair few shots with each, and see how you feel. They both can't be faulted.

 

I'm tempted to go back to air rifles for some quality plinking with a decent .177 springer, maybe a bit of HFT. They were great times

I have a s410 and have just sold a s510, the s510 shrouded barrel is not very quiet and with a silencer fitted was to long ,but still a very good gun . I would go with the s410. I sold the s510 to fund a new hw100ks.

No idea about the 510 but the 410 is a proper quality bit of kit

Had one in .22 for a couple of years and it was a great hunting rifle

s410 , my shooting partner has one and a very accurate gun and nice to shoot

HW 100 kt.177 is so hard to better - so it`s your call mate, if my 42 years of air rifle shooting experience might help well I`d lean towards HW .
