inan 841
ive told you my views on this tyson and after seeing that break iam going to stick by em ....now you no iam just telling you way i think ..and i apprerciate you standing by your pup ..but to me it wont make what you want it to ..i know that sounds harsh ..but iam just being truthfull ...i hope you prove me wrong if i had him pts i would always wonder what if i had gave him a chance??? and ill always wonder would he have been better if he never broke his leg ??? i like the pup a lot and i was getting it fixed anyway so he deserves a fair chance so ive had the best possible surgery done to improve his chances , if he doesnt make the grade at least ive tried and gave him that chance , the money isnt a problem and hes still only 4months old , i will know a lot better in 2-3 months how the bones healed as he will be without the brace and pins and be half way through his rehabilitation program ive got lined up for him , ive got hydrotherapy sorted and i have a mag-box and all the lotions and potions i need so if hes gonna make it hes got the best chance i can provide. ive had lots of mixed positive and negative reactions , but ive had some good positive from some different proffessionals aside the vets whos opinion i totally appreciate and vice versa so this little fellas getting what i feel he deserves , i saw him today for first time and if it wasnt for being able to see the brace you would never know it had been broken. i appreciate everyones views positive and negative All the very best with your pup,I remember a very good dog called Ink that ran with the Calendar Club years ago it broke its leg but came back to be a very good animal, hope you have the same success,at least you are trying.Inan. tyson 1
thanks INAN , i think he stands a much better chance as the brace and screws are not permanent and will be totally removed so no cold bones in winter time to bother him, and the type of brace will hold his leg much straighter than a cast Quote Link to post
Guest Frank
Great to see him getting better, good luck. Fair play for sticking by him. Quote Link to post
tyson 1
had oscars leg x-rays done again today , and they were happy so they have taken out some screws and loosened it so its not totally rigid now, and it kinda moves up and down like a piston now when he walks on it BEFORE AND AFTER Edited October 9, 2007 by tyson Quote Link to post

Guest WILF
The pups doing great , hes running around jumping up and down , doesent even know hes got pins in his leg , Fecks sake dont let him do that Tyson!!!............COMPLETE kennel rest for 2 or 3 months mate...........not even walkies........just his run to walk around in mate. Belive me.....I know Quote Link to post
Guest WILF
nightmare ..hope it heels....do you give him extra calcium in his feed?? Dont give extra calcium..........if he is on a good raw diet, extra calcium will only deplete something else whos name escapes me at the moment...........good luck with your pup Quote Link to post
tyson 1
wilf the vets said its ok to just let him act as normal , he aint sprinting around as its restricted movement due to the brace , but its healing lovley and hes walking around fine baz yes im giving him extra calcium as well as the mag box , so another 10-12 days and the brace is off and no metal work left in his leg at all like wilfs dog has , the calcification will even out too so mit should be barley noticible to touch when hes fully grown Quote Link to post
Guest WILF
If thats what the man said.................do you mind me asking what vet fixed him up T?............bone specialist was it? Looks like your trying to do right by the animal anyway so all due respect to you............his 1st catch will be a bit special Edited October 9, 2007 by WILF Quote Link to post
tyson 1
alex at FRAME ,SWIFT AND PARTNERS AT PENRITH i think they done a great job and for once the vets understand coursing dogs and understands whats expected of them when they mature enough to run , so he says will be no prob with his leg at all in a few months , just got a slight rotation on his pelvis but its evening itself out and should be ok too hes a lucky fecker considering he got hit by a ford ranger double cab doing 50mph Quote Link to post
