tyson 1 Posted September 24, 2007 Report Share Posted September 24, 2007 heres some pics i took of the x-rays of the break and a pic of oscars leg after the operation , this was taken today but hes doing well and its 10 days since the accident , hes putting it down and walking ok. so the brace comes of in 3-4 weeks and when its removed the pins will be removed too so there will be nothing left inside the bone to cause any problems , apparantly this is the best treatment for a break any vets can offer, hopefully he will then be back to normal after a bit of light exercise and hydrotherapy aswell as some mag-box treatment...anymore sensible advice is welcome Quote Link to post

Best of luck with the recovery. no hes fine with it as you can see hes standing and can walk fine , the leg looks straight and no odd lumps or bumps Quote Link to post

tyson 1 Posted September 24, 2007 Author Report Share Posted September 24, 2007 ive told you my views on this tyson and after seeing that break iam going to stick by em ....now you no iam just telling you way i think ..and i apprerciate you standing by your pup ..but to me it wont make what you want it to ..i know that sounds harsh ..but iam just being truthfull ...i hope you prove me wrong if i had him pts i would always wonder what if i had gave him a chance??? and ill always wonder would he have been better if he never broke his leg ??? i like the pup a lot and i was getting it fixed anyway so he deserves a fair chance so ive had the best possible surgery done to improve his chances , if he doesnt make the grade at least ive tried and gave him that chance , the money isnt a problem and hes still only 4months old , i will know a lot better in 2-3 months how the bones healed as he will be without the brace and pins and be half way through his rehabilitation program ive got lined up for him , ive got hydrotherapy sorted and i have a mag-box and all the lotions and potions i need so if hes gonna make it hes got the best chance i can provide. ive had lots of mixed positive and negative reactions , but ive had some good positive from some different proffessionals aside the vets whos opinion i totally appreciate and vice versa so this little fellas getting what i feel he deserves , i saw him today for first time and if it wasnt for being able to see the brace you would never know it had been broken. i appreciate everyones views positive and negative Quote Link to post
