Nick3439 83
I had some ferrets about 10 years ago and deployed to Afghanistan; my mum looked after them; she fed them and cleaned them out but didn't spend time with them; when I came back they were all jumpy and a little 'nippy' (not real bites) and skittish; after about a week of quality time they were back to pre-tour temperament. That's after over 6 months... So I reckon they are salvageable and just need quality time 1 Quote Link to post
gav1212 16
Need to be handled and used to humans everyday. Its not always aggression, most of the time they are bored and when they see a hand they usually just want to play fight and they play rough!! If you know you cant get to them everyday make sure you have plenty of things in their enclosure that they can explore. Pipes, tennis balls etc. I got a jills a few months ago given to me that the original owner swore it was curst and was wicked... turned out it spent most of its time in a in a rabbit hutch with noting to keep it occupied and never handled, well only handled when it was used for working. With the right amount of handling and attention they will be easily handled. Quote Link to post
The one 8,535
Cant see them being out and out biters if youv'e done the ground work they may muck about for a bit but regular handling will change that 2 Quote Link to post
