unlacedgecko 1,466
unla . you obviosly dont no the law the farmer has the right to shoot a dog if it unsupervised alright not while it is supervised by its owner Didn't make any comment on the law mate, was just explaining to shaun how a dog could cause thousands of pounds worth of damage to livestock. In England and Wales the farmer has no right to shoot a dog, however, the fact that it was worrying livestock MAY be a successful defence to a charge of criminal damage should he end up in court. budharley 945
unla . you obviosly dont no the law the farmer has the right to shoot a dog if it unsupervised alright not while it is supervised by its owner I don't know the law over there but over here it makes no difference at all if your there o not if its deemed out of control ie not on a lead or close control and in a field with sheep if the farmer thinks its about to worry or worry he can shoot it whether your there or not Link to post
budharley 945
No it doesn't u moron lol , I've got plenty of good farmer friend that there land witch has footpaths run threw with hundreds of people walk threw with dogs of leads children running about ect he has no probs lambing ?? Most decent dog men train there dogs to not bother cattle such as the man dog that was shot ! If a dog is biting or doing damage to the live stock I'd have a different opinion but for jst trespassing that dog didn't deserve shooting fair play to the lad who's doing the eye for a eye and all that loosing thousands now ain't he !! (Should of used his head and not pulled the trigger ) absolute feckin rubbish Link to post

Dave6592 51
How has this thread turned into an argument like this? The lads dog died in action and this thread was in tribute to her. I think a new topic should be started if you want to talk about the rules of farmers etc... Sorry for the loss of your dog though, she was a lovely looking bitch! 4 Link to post
