STRANGER 948
Very good Pete. Enlighten us as to why we should spend hours a day prepping dog food?, when you can get it out the bag, and in all likelihood the dog will live just as long as one who eats the best of the best. I feed mine minced beef from the knackers, sometimes tripe, mixed with a complete meal and have never had any problems I could narrow down to poor diet.
Bosun11 537
:clapper: belter bosun. Did she ever hunt mate? She sure did Mate, she showed me how and from there we were inseparable. Where that pic was taken, a caravan park on the coast, chock full of rabbits and all the summer hols to catch 'em. Winters were spent ratting the landfill my dad worked on, which was next to Altcar coursing grounds, then there were city railway sidings and Anfield cemetery after school, so she did it all... Nowt better than keen kids with a keen dog, even if she did live on shite..!!

Nowt better than keen kids with a keen dog, even if she did live on shite..!! brilliant mate. They're the type of dogs that never see vets either. My next door neighbours dog when I was young had a habit of chasing cars and motorbikes. Back then there wasn't much traffic so you could hear a motorbike coming a mile away. It was a common sight seeing a biker waving his foot trying to unleash the grip of a mongrel but, as much as he loved this hobby, the downside was, he got run over a few times. 3 bad ones I can think of, one of them he was dragged under the car for a good bit. I can still see him sparked out in the neighbours garden, grass all blood, neighbour with a basin of blood soaked water, sponging him down. He recovered from all of them nearly 100% apart from a wee skip of his back leg every other stride. No one could afford vets back then, no way of getting the dog to a vet. Lived a long life harassing everything that moved
