Great manager, but hell he talks some shit! He done exactly that same at Old Trafford earlier on in the season - sent a team out to earn a point. Needs to do a bit of research and all, back in the early days of football they used to play with up to five forwards and one defender as teams actually used to go out to win a game of football instead of going out to draw. That's a modern thing brought to our game by foreigners like him! :D

didnt chelsea have about 35 efforts on goal tho lol seems to me mourinho is making excuses!!! must be annoying tho when a team just park the bus on the line and make no attempt to play football like west ham do, but its a results industry and thats a well earned point for west ham i guess!

Rangers got to the UEFA cup final playing that way. I wouldn't watch Celtic if they resorted to that type of football. We are an attacking team, won the European cup against the masters of negative defensive football.

Wenger's the same, moaning about teams parking the bus and all, wouldn't be so bad if they didn't do exactly the same thing from time to time. Last cup Arsenal won was the FA cup and in the final against us they played a defensive 4-5-1, game ended 0-0 I think and they won it on pens..:laugh:

People always slag Fergie off, but I don't think I can ever remember him slagging smaller teams off for coming to OT and playing for a draw.. :hmm:

He didn't mate, if we'd have ended a game like that with that much possession and shots he would have been critical of his own team for not taking their chances.. He might have said something like 'Teams fighting for survival who set up like that are very difficult to play against' or something like that but he would still blame his team for not taking their chances.. Go find a quote to prove me otherwise, there should be plenty out there.. :tongue2:

Here you go malt :D

Ferguson reiterated his criticism of Benítezs managerial record and trophy successes, again claiming the Spaniard was lucky to replace Roberto Di Matteo at Chelsea last season. He also claimed that Benítez had been fortunate to win the Champions League in 2005 when Liverpool fought back from 3-0 down to beat AC Milan.

He said one Benítez starting XI was the most unimaginative Liverpool side he encountered, insisted the Spaniard spent more than he did on players during the same period, and claimed Fernando Torres and Jose Reina were his rivals only two top-class purchases.

Indeed, Ferguson admitted he tried to sign Torres twice while the striker was still at Atletico Madrid, although he questioned the Chelsea forwards attitude during times of adversity.

Ferguson did acknowledge that Benítez deserved credit for the work rate of his teams and their refusal to throw in the towel but said the Spaniard was too interested in defending.
