Recommended Posts

aye sirius it could well be lol tho i do have easier places to go and places where there are more bunnys, but when you get a good day on them big sandy slopes bolting to dogs its all worth the hassle lol not so good tho when you got to dig 14fters cos your ferretin partner never tightened one of collsrs properly lol

Oh yes, when its good its great, when its bad its a proper bummer

I doubt I would dig 14ft for a collar, are you from 'Yorkshire'? :toast:

:hmm:Worked those banks for years Bob,...and back in the day,...got well paid for doing so.

BUT,..even when the sand pit and surrounding area, was lifting with rabbits,...and even when armed with a full team of experienced ferrets,..it was still a 'hit and miss' affair...

There used to be several old settes on those steep banks, and although rabbits now occupy the tunnels,..they still go deep....real deep...

More than a few ferrets have been lost on that ground, and on the Golf Course opposite..

And whilst you don't seem the type of guy, to leave your mates behind or willingly desert a pal,.. you really were fortunate to come away,.. with all your troops..

Greyhound Hobs,...Circa 1970s..........

Same sort of day today on a golf course Phil. Some of the warrens had been dug over with a mini digger trying to get rid. Murder it was. Most of the day was spent digging - to nests..
