Know what you need its very easy a Coursing dog simple as that.A dog should be able to run on any land big or small.All this you need a small dog for small fields is bull shit

At the end of the day you gotta hunt them were they reside you can't drive past a field with 2 hares in it and say oh that fields to big or to small plenty of dogs can do it on small and big fields do

Small fields coursing...summat like a saluki/grey x whippet/grey..about 24 inch and fast as lightning with a bit of flip flop hound for wind

Seriously, have you ever seen a hare nevermimd a small field? I love the thought process, see the word small field, get a small dog :laugh: for those of us who have ram small fields will know, no c**t told the hare he's in a small field. As far as he's concerned he's in open land with bits of wire, fence posts, walls, trees, gates etc to use as means of escape. The way you lot talk the dogs got to catch in a paddock or all is lost :rolleyes: your right in the fact you need a fast type dog but you don't need a small dog ffs. One that can jump, has a turn of speed and a bit of wind is what your after.

:D I'm sure they'll get the odd catch but I wouldn't get one for that purpose, would you ohhh biased one :tongue2:?
