DazAllison1 556
Any body any tips on how to keep/make a good connection on the mk2 collar? The collar won't work unless I press down hard on the connection Quote Link to post

robbo 832
I give the contact in the middle of the collar a clean up with a screwdriver tip or a bit of sandpaper and then solder a blob of solder onto the top of the contact to raise it up. Quote Link to post

heritage 202
I think there must be some collar confusion here.... The above recommendations are good but none of them are really applicable to the mk2., The mark 2 collar was the first one deben made using the new low profile, rectangular design, it was black plastic and ran off 2 (393 ? ) batteries covered by a slide off cap, it was mounted onto a nylon collar. The collars went.... Mk 1 (screw cap, leather collar ) Mk 2 (black rectangular style, nylon collar) Mk3 ( grey rectangular style, nylon collar) Mk3m ( round plastic, screw top, leather collar ) Hopefully this may help clarify the collar type and a means of repair....Atb.
