Jon Evans 14
Thought i'd chuck a post up to say hi to everyone and starting meeting you all. I am new to the website but not to hunting, I been brought up along side horse and hound hunting in the Llangammarch and Llanwrtyd Wells area most of my life and my grand parents use to host alot of the hunt meets. I recently decided to get back into my hunting a purchased a Webly VMX .20 air rifle for some rabbit shooting. Its not a bad place to start i think I have a few places to shoot but it would seem the floods have killed most of the areas i can go. Anyways I look forward to sharing and receiving some tips and hopefully making new friends.

Jon Evans 14
Yeah its great, put a 4x32 scope on it and brought on of these: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Red-Beam-Hunting-Lamp-Kit-Ideal-for-Air-Rifles-Rimfire-/200973330897?pt=UK_SportingGoods_Hunting_ShootingSports_ET&hash=item2ecaf1a9d1 and got it mounted on top of the scope, Pretty much made it a night sight, the scope seems to suck some of the red light in and helps to show the cross hairs, made it very good for night rabbit hunting. Only bad point i would have is the stock is hollow and acts like a megaphone for the working parts and can be a little loud on the ears in certain terrain and tends to make a bit more noise than it should. Heard a great thing to do was pull the rubber butt off and fill the stock with expanding foam and refit the butt, apparently it dampens the sound and cause there no working parts in the stock theirs no risk. Jon Evans 14
hmm... nice thought, look into it, the guy who sold me my tac-light said to take a 35mm camera film canister and cut the end off and then put that on the end of the light it should focus the beam down and make it a lot nicer to use, but i dunno!
