Sirius 1,391
This wet weather is killing the lamping at moment is anyone else finding this? The rabbits just don't seem to be sitting out in these wet fields, and I don't blame them. Had to walk some miles squelching through water logged fields last night for barely double figures! Just hope it dries up soon 1 Quote Link to post

whippet 99 2,613
have too agree there , ive been out knowing theres rabbits there and the perfect conditions and there is hardly any out.......and the ones that are out struggle too run in the water logged fields which is easy for the mutt too pick up..... the squelching is annoying , had to resort too more ferreting , seem to get more where the cover is now in the roots whats drying the ground up as the open buries are getting saturated,.....speaking too a mate last night in the fire brigade and today hes delivering supplies too a village what has been cut off due too floods,......families are living upstairs and shite in the water down stairs as the sewers are all fooked,..........15 miles from where I live, im glad im on a hill side Quote Link to post

Yeah the rabbits have been there if you know where to look. The lamping has been poor due to the amount of water laying on the fields for weeks, not much sitting out. Quote Link to post

stabba 10,745
Its pathetic. I've a youngster here needs bringing on and i'm struggling tbh. This rain not only fcuks the wildlife up but puts a dampner on your mood aswell. Several nights we've had to cancel due to torrential rain. There's no point trying to enter a pup when you know there's gunna be sod all about. Then you have to put up with the squelching that makes noise fit to scare anything away within a 400 yard radius. That's me jacked for good now. Had enough. I'm giving serious thought to stamp collecting Quote Link to post
nighteyes 275
was talking to my mate the other night about this and although it has been very wet this winter it has been very consistently windy, drizzle which makes for good lamping , the wet is a pain at times but at least it anit been still frostly, misty, nights with frozen ground where you cant do nothing with the dogs Quote Link to post
bird 10,013
just got back from walking dogs, and bloody hell it was sunshining, and not pissing down for once lol. but fields were and woods were good -9in deep in parts, had to laugh at Buck, a fox crossed the lane to go into wood, and Buck went like a feckin rocket down there, and I think he was aqua gliding down the lane good job his brakes work lol Quote Link to post
