Joking aside, they've been worth their weight in gold! We took on 5 acres that hadnt been looked after in about 20 years and they've eaten grass, bramble, holly - anything and everything that we've needed them to eat. You sure you dont need a couple socks??

Lol my bit of land is clear mate ... Nice lush grass so I would be feeding them for free mate ... I don't like keeping stock that don't pay their way that's why I'm shipping the kids out soon as possible lol ........

That's fair enough mate. They've done their job for us now which is why we're looking to sell them. Our land is all grass now too and they're just eating grass that our sheep could be eatin but they've done a great job for us to be fair!

Seen them for around £250 in past so good price was thinking of getting some my self but can they be eaten as in is it worth it what age would they be slaughtered ?

I keep pigs for this as it is and would like some goats for meat they probly not beat breed but cost would be low

As for meat, I'd imagine that it'd be the same as sheep so these would be equivalent to mutton. The nanny is still intact to my knowledge so would be able to be bred.

 

The goats have now been bought pending payment and collection on Wednesday. If you're interested then by all means contact me and if they don't go on Wednesday I'll be in touch.

Ah ok mate. Well to be honest, there are much better breeds of goat than pigmys. Goats are definitely not my forte but these are more for pets/clearing brush, bramble etc. etc. This is due to their handleable size.

 

I cant remember the breeds of goat that are better for meat but google it. Do your research and you wont go far wrong.
