Joe67 239
decided am taking the pup to ireland instead of kennals or leaving with someone if its ok for pup, time we leave pup will be about 9 months old. its abit of a trek from here, total travel time will be nearly 12 hours. from previous post some said they wouldnt go without dogs etc, there will be some breaks/stops on the way including ferry but no 1/2 hour long walks, if it was you would you still travel this amount of time with a pup in the boot or crate, or is it to much? will be another 12 hours return in a weeks time Quote Link to post
kirstysdad 827
should be ok as long as you give it a few walks but not in the boot in a crate dog box is best also at that age you will not be working it so should not get any grieve on way back if going over hunting we fly now and go out with pals and their dogs leave our own at home and then pals can come over and have a few days out with us the days of crossing on the ferry with working dogs is well gone 1 Quote Link to post
Ideation 8,216
We regularly take the dogs long distances. As long as its given water when needed and the odd piss break it'll be fine. Te biggest thing is its with you. IMO it would be more stressed in kennels. 1 Quote Link to post
