Nick3439 83
Those of you that use Fipronil based products; do you still find that your ferrets have ticks/fleas crawling around after Ferreting? If you do, do you just leave them be relying on the fipronil to kill them off or do you take any additional action? Just a thought? I find myself trying to brush them out before I put them back in the hutch (before the ticks have got a bite on) even if they will die soon enough.. Quote Link to post
bobcullen79 1,495
Common sense to try and rid your ferrets from as many pest as possible before treating and putting back. I wouldnt want anything escaping, crawling off and possibly infesting. You cant really do a lot with fleas as their moving some. But I`ll remove embedded ticks as Ive had them die and stay attached. I always give the ferrets a ruffling to try as you say, brush them off before the latch on when they come out of a warren for the last time. Quote Link to post
