Bustamunky 7 Posted January 25, 2014 Report Share Posted January 25, 2014 I started my pups on 15-20 mins walks around the public football fields as soon a there jabs where done, is alot easya to teach recall at a young age, now at 8 and 9months at least an hour a day Or my house becomes a dog playground! At weekends he's ether ferreting all day with we or first light we could be out walking for upto 3 hours , Ive had him lamping , every thing a dog needs Vets tell you what they want you to do but I bet they don't do it there selfs , our lass had blade at the vets a little bit back for check up she came home convinced he need castrating she said they were prity force full I went mad they talked her into getting Molly done when she was a pup nothing I could do as working away You your self will know when and by how much the needs mate the more time you spend with it the more you will under stand it if I were you on a farm I'd take it every where ATB and good look with it . When i had my beddy whippet jabbed he told me she wouldnt be any good fir working or breeding because shes a mongrel breed.... Then [BANNED TEXT] my bull grey was jabbed (dufferent vets) the tried to pressure my misses into booking her in for the spade and to buy there flea and worming treatments..They just money grabbers like these puppy peddlers you see! symnsm 6 Posted February 26, 2014 Report Share Posted February 26, 2014 This is my lurcher pup at 8 weeks. Running free. Confidence is coming along nicely. Recall is coming on well too. The sooner the dogs out in the field the better. I will walk this pup for about 1 hour a day and as someone said earlier if hes not out running in a field hes running around at home. At least taking him out gets him used to different noises, even cattle. Its all about building a bond with the dog. See him playing here at youtube Quote Link to post
