Right he didnt steal from me but i was giving a tip off he was after mine asking if they in kennels or house ,not only that we where at a show the other year I met him not knowing who he was after sh

The problem is that people are peddling dogs for a quick buck without any concern for the dog whatsoever and these types will pass on stolen dogs, knowing full well that they are stolen if there's a p

If my dogs were nicked and someone knew where they were or even knew the person who did it and kept schtum they're as bad if not worse than the thief...

I know a man who has sold plenty dogs and has sold good dogs maybe buy them for £200 keep them a couple weeks sell them on for £150 dog ends up a cracker or piss has been doing it for 30 odd years then theres another near by mostly whippets he sells buy them for £150 sells them on for £300 dogs are all well looked after then theres the lad that goes to ireland buys a litter of jack russel pups for £75 brings them homes throws in the huts advertises them for £250 a pup now whos the worse here and whos a peddlerer in my eyes there all peddlerers and there making a few pounds but as i said there making a pound apart from the first one so is he a good guy or the same as the rest a dirty piece of scum ffs what ever happened to the rouge :hmm:

All of them guys....

Dont go to people houses and spin them a line about their beloved pet....

To get them for feck all.... then sell them on for money..

Thats the difference.

What if you called them agents instead of peddlers. Agent goes to the house where the people who wanted a dog but don't no more. Says to them, I'm an agent, I'll find the dog a good home, I take a few though. Don't worry, you don't need to pay it, the person getting the dog will. It covers my time, money spent on good waiting on a suitable home coming up plus a little extra for me. I'll take the dog off you today save you the stress of looking after and feeding it. All these so called good homes would gladly give up there dogs

As much as I hate these guys that peddle sub-standard dogs and sell on dogs that were "free to a good home" IF people put more thought into things when getting a dog then these guys wouldn't have anything to peddle.

Every day on here, Gumtree etc etc theres new dogs available to these peddlers to pass on as something they're not, like I said if people put more thought into getting a dog in the first place then the peddlers market would be much smaller.......sad but true !!

if you get a dog you should be responsible for it until its death no matter when this comes, there should be no option to re-home when the next fad takes your fancy, if you end its life early through anything other than health you should not be allowed the privilege of owning another, at least people would think hard about the choices they make when it comes to owning a dog,

I agree there are lots of folk to blame in the whole scenario but to think that a fella who constantly deals dogs, doesn't care where they come from and sells 20 odd a month ........ Is going to have an issue selling stolen dogs. Is just nieve!

As for members keeping dogs they know as stolen because they have had it six months and bonded with it..... Or even worse, fining out the dog is stolen and then trying to make profit selling it back to its original owner........

What needs to be said?

It's no wonder folk don't get their dogs back most if the time, it seems most folk couldn't care about it happening to someone else if they can profit from it. It's just business.....

Buy low, sell high; isn't that the mantra for everything from shares to antiques to basic commodities ? Buy something at a Boot Sale for a quid, sell it for £100, RESULT !! The problem seems to be with dogs... I know people who buy and sell horses, birds, etc, and do it to make a profit. If some one buys a dog and it doesn't suit him, why shouldn't he make a profit when he sells it ! By the way, I have NEVER sold a dog... bought a few, but they usually see their days out with me, but as long as a dog goes to a good home, what's the problem ?

this is the whole point...... goes to a good home. the person on the gumtrees or other sites offering there pet for free is not looking to make a profit on what they "invested" there money in when they bought there dog. im sure they are not offering it for free because it is shit or any other reason other than it is not an option to keep the dog any longer and want it to go to a good home.

so the add goes up, stating our lovely xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx has to to to a new home, all we want is somebody who will look after him and give him the the same attention as we did.

IMHO if any c**t other than a genuine person looking for a pet to give it a good home replys to that add with PROFIT in mind then they are proper scum. there are chancers in this world and i admire alot of them for some of the strokes they pull and get away with but the above carry on isnt bein a chancer, its down right morally wrong and they would have no luck for it.

p.s. Baw point noted, never buy anything your selling as you clearly have no conscience!

Good post !

Too true!

If for whatever reason I had to get rid of a dog, if it couldn't be gifted to someone I trusted implicitly,

it would go in the ground.

But back to the point, whats going to happen to the ginger twat?

Cheers, D.
