I hate football with a passion that is usually matched by people who like it. I cannot be on my own, who else is willing to admit to it?   TC

Men that don't like football....weirdos!!!!

I'm with lab, just can't trust a guy who doesn't like football. It's like a guy saying he doesn't find tits attractive, it just ain't right

lets just go with the flow TC

Normally I like to see a thread develop and go off at tangents, it keeps it intresting. However, you cannot compair like for like with football, as the business is so big there is not another 'sport' to touch it world wide. Obviously it must get great ratings to oust the soaps on ITV and the money sky throw at it is just astronomical. So it follows that it is a big money spinner. Yet a lot of people who I talk too about it have no liking for the game.

Just trying to establish how popular it really is. Granted a hunting forum is not the best place to do that.

I'll say this for modern football...............

"Obviously, the result's a bit disappointing, but, at the end of the day, the lads work their socks off and give 110%, and a couple of decisions could have gone either way, but, hey, that's football - we'll pick ourselves up and carry on. I still think we're too good to go down, but there's no easy games and we can only take it one match at a time. There's never a good time to concede, but it's a game of two halves, and every game's a Cup final for us now. I thought the 'keeper had it covered but the cross was a bit too good. The striker's come onto it and he's hit it too well in the end - he's a big boy but very good on his feet. I suppose I could have thrown some fresh legs on, but 2 - 0 is always a dangerous lead and it's not over 'til the final whistle blows. I'm just not sure whether to be as sick as a parrot or to be over the moon. I'm pleased for the lads...................."

Hate football it ain't a sport it's a joke and I think it would benefit the nation if it was banned

Exactly how would the nation benefit from the national sport being banned ?

The National Sport is Cricket mate

TC originally asked if he was the only one who hated football. Seems he's not.

A lot of people are trying to justify their reasons for not liking it, but i don't think your likes or dislikes of anything require justification.

I can take it or leave it. But..no sport in the world can bring Nations together like the sport of football can. For that alone it's worth putting on the tv in place of that shite Coronation street or Eastenders. :D
