Pellet Lube

Recommended Posts

I agree

But a friends company has just developed a new kind of pellet lube, which he is about to start marketing.

I don't really understand the technical bits, but I think it's fluorocarbon based or something like that. He runs a lubricants company.

Get a sample from him. I'm sure a few of the lads will give it a try and review it. Can't hurt..... Well.....unless it's proper shite!! And that's not a review you want getting out

But seriously. Send me some and I will make sure it gets put through its paces.

Do you find it works VM?

Bit of a daft question. I know, because your using it. But how does it improve your grouping compared to an unlubed group?

Curious because I tried some of the Napier stuff when it first came out about 10 years ago. ( I still have it somewhere ) but there was very little difference.

Cheers.

Aren't most cutting fluids fluorocarbon based?

Feck knows!! Hydro carbons. Fluoro carbons......has it got toothpaste in it

Yer, i'll get some samples and send them to a few folk on here. I've used that napier stuff a few times. . . . didn't really get the point?

Give me a shout when you have it. There are a couple of lads on here I can recommend to test and honestly review with calibre's up to .25

Thanks mate.

He's also making gun oil, lube, protector, cleaner etc . . . .

Yes I have been keeping tabs on your other threads. If he comes up trumps and the product is good, he or you, could do well over the forums.

A good cleaning and rub down oil is essential in every shooters box. Airguns to shottys etc.

I hope it works out.

And don't forget the THL 30% discount

I wash my pellets first because of all the bits of lead around the pellets then lube them with Tri - flo , never have flyers any more a I believe my groups are tighter , my be only by a few mm at 35 yards  , probably makes no difference at all just peace of mind with me

Haha . . . aye I'm just giving him a hand and testing the water so to speak. His company make lubricants and stuff for things like the aerospace industry and F1 cars. . . so he knows the crack with what he's making. Just trying to adapt it to the 'hobby' market, and I was trying to stretch my mind as to the various possibilities, after seeing what he's made so far. . .

Can you think of anything that could be improved on, in any of those kind of products, or anything that as a shooter you would want.

To be fair, I don't look after my guns any where near as well as some of you guys. . . .
