Ideation 8,216
Odd question, but does anyone use it? 1 Quote Link to post
moxy 617
Never bothered with it. I suppose some of the fanatical target tarts may use the stuff but it's just a fad. IMO Why do you ask? Quote Link to post
Ideation 8,216
I agree But a friends company has just developed a new kind of pellet lube, which he is about to start marketing. I don't really understand the technical bits, but I think it's fluorocarbon based or something like that. He runs a lubricants company. 1 Quote Link to post

Well.....unless it's proper shite!! And that's not a review you want getting out But seriously. Send me some and I will make sure it gets put through its paces. Atb Quote Link to post

andyfr1968 772
I tried it a few years ago and couldn't tell any diference but I do wash them as they do sometimes have swarf in there. Aren't most cutting fluids fluorocarbon based? Quote Link to post

Bit of a daft question. I know, because your using it. But how does it improve your grouping compared to an unlubed group? Curious because I tried some of the Napier stuff when it first came out about 10 years ago. ( I still have it somewhere ) but there was very little difference. Cheers. Quote Link to post

If he comes up trumps and the product is good, he or you, could do well over the forums. A good cleaning and rub down oil is essential in every shooters box. Airguns to shottys etc. I hope it works out. And don't forget the THL 30% discount Quote Link to post

I wash my pellets first because of all the bits of lead around the pellets then lube them with Tri - flo , never have flyers any more a I believe my groups are tighter , my be only by a few mm at 35 yards , probably makes no difference at all just peace of mind with me Quote Link to post
Ideation 8,216
Haha . . . aye I'm just giving him a hand and testing the water so to speak. His company make lubricants and stuff for things like the aerospace industry and F1 cars. . . so he knows the crack with what he's making. Just trying to adapt it to the 'hobby' market, and I was trying to stretch my mind as to the various possibilities, after seeing what he's made so far. . . Can you think of anything that could be improved on, in any of those kind of products, or anything that as a shooter you would want. To be fair, I don't look after my guns any where near as well as some of you guys. . . . Quote Link to post
