Well ferreting without a dog is no problem of course,,, if the ferret does lay up,, there are ways of getting it out,,, the first and most common is gutting a rabbit,,,leave the guts still attached to

Done thousands of acres of MOD ground throughout the UK,...even lamped around Catterick,...   The no digging rule is stupid.....look at all the damage and digging, the fecking rabbits have already

if its catterick or surrounding army land its shit, too many rules and paperwork, and loads already doing it

don't matter wat size ferrets you got and shape if them rabbits don't want come out they wont , they will die up them stop ends first , best crack danny do wat tomo sed rabbit in a net gutted done it a million times mate , shame you cant dig, you would think if they wanted them gone that bad they wud let you , mind some funny buggers about, alb

For me it's about knowing your ferrets I'd do it but not with all of my ferrets as most would happily kill below ground, but I've got a small albino Jill that I've never had to dig to in 4 years of working her never even had a rabbit with a bite mark when using her so I'd happily use her on ground where no digging was allowed

What military base? who have you applied to a quartermaster or Commanding Officer etc ?

Im ex army and they wouldnt allow civilians to ferret or shoot on military land, they use internal applicants?

No digging seems extreme, presuming you would book into the guardroom? not like your planting IEDs

Them hobs can also spend an hour scratching away on a bottled up bunny when they can't climb over or under to kill it. . .sometimes no matter what ferret you got down below its a game of waiting...
