Bitch Spayed

hi i've just today had to have my bitch spayed so i was just wondering how long others left it till they started working there dog again? the vet told me to keep her on the lead for around 2 week but i wasn't sure when was best to start taking her out properly again. She is very full on and i know as soon as that 2 week is up and i take her lead off, she'll be off working.

Just steady away with her....few weeks on lead...then after that some light excerise off the lead...she will come right .

every dog is different, but i would suggest keep on the lead until the stitches are out (about 10 days) then gradually increase exercise. bike work is good as you have a lot of control, and can stop the dog jumping or really stretching out. short runs for a couple of minutes after a couple of weeks of bike work (you can keep pedalling through the whole recovery/fitness programme) and lengthen the running periods over the following few weeks. my ma had one bitch that just wasnt right for around six weeks, but mostly they are good to go after a month or so.

Just take her in the local park or some where there's no game around for awhile first.

Was thinking of doing my bitch stop the hassle everytime she's on as I have her kenneled up with my other dog and don't want them at it ..in 2 minds what to do buy a new kennel or get her done

That's why I've had her done, shame as I'd probably of liked to have a litter off her.

Same position as I am then mate if she turns out to be good bitch then I'll want to have a litter in 4 5 years just looking for a new kennel now there all so far away atb

put another kennel up ive 2 dogs and one bitch want a litter out her in a couple years for myself so needs must another kennel up for her its aright if you have the room for it
