johnny boy68 11,726
Had just seen it, and was coming to post here.lol. Just the three changes, Paul James drops to the bench for Jenkins, Andrew Coombs in for Charteris and Sam in for Tiperic who drops to the bench. Scarlets Jake Ball makes the bench and Charteris is out. What I cannot understand is Rhodri Jones's inclusion he is second choice behind Lee at the Scarlets. TC Rhodri Jones as been touted as Adam Jones replacement when he finally hangs his boots up, Rhodri as a far better all round game than Lee and is in the team for that imo. Malt 379
Biggar don't even make the bench? Although he had a half decent game on Saturday I'm still not convinced by Priestland..

It's not very often I do not agree with you Johnny your rugby knowledge is vast. But, Rhodri is #3 choice at the scarlets, the Welsh scrum did have parity with the Italians till he came on then we went backwards at a rate of knots. Granted Samson is not the fastest prop around the field but he can scrummage and scrummage well, better than Rhodri by a country mile. But, like Bigger if your face don't fit, your kept holding the tackle bags. TC Edited February 4, 2014 by tiercel

TC I think Rhodri is more in the mould of the way Wales want to progress than Lee is and is picked because of that, the days of props being picked on scrummaging ability alone are coming to an end imo, lots of good props are struggling to come to terms with these new laws.
Tiercel 6,986
Thats the thing though, Samson is thriving on them, I did hear a romour that it was his fitness levels that were letting him down, virtually the same as Adams were in the begining. Adam worked really hard to get his fintness levels up and if the romour is correct it could be just a matter of time. It is no secret that the scarlets pack are having a great season and in no small way is Samson contributing to that. TC

Your not joking there Johnny their scrum was immense, they played the conditions well and ran out deserved winners. To keep the Irish who are no slouches to a nill points takes some doing. Well done Wales. Edited to add: Jonathon is on @ 10 that will be a laugh, the way they take the piss out of Nigel owens is brilliant. As long as they do not mention Gats and BOD, I'm getting a little bit tired of that now media led bull sh!t again. TC Edited February 7, 2014 by tiercel
