Elliott 436
Looking for any advice on what is the best .17 hmr ? Love thumbhole stocks and good triggers? I can recommend an Anschutz or Weihrauch HW60J depending on your budget. I recently did a review on my Annie Quote Link to post
Al69ec 5
I have a cz 452 American with 20 inch barrels and sak mod. Use it out of the truck. It's deadly out to 175 yards, zeroed at 100 and shoots straight out. I love it Quote Link to post

Bit of cammo tape on to protect the barrel and silencer and to minimise any shine Quote Link to post

Don't have it on any more, I used to unwrap it and oil it after every outing. It never got wet Quote Link to post

Deker 3,478
Looking for any advice on what is the best .17 hmr ? Love thumbhole stocks and good triggers? How on earth would you define best? The fact is there isn't one, there is only the best for you! The difference in accuracy, reliability, repeatability between them all isn't worth the debate. Money wise there can be substantial differences. CZ offer a wide selection of rifles, at reasonable prices (within the market place) nobody will ever NEED more than a CZ can deliver for field use, some simply want something else! So, in short, get what you want! Quote Link to post
shropshire dan 467
+1 Deker. Its all about personal preference. My 1977 brno with a 24inch barrel isn't everyones cup of tea but performs as well as any other .22lr on the market. Atb Dan Quote Link to post
kenj 131
My CZ 452 doesn't have a thumb hole stock and the trigger needed a spring kit. It does have a 16 inch heavy barrel and with a Harris bi-pod is as accurate as the guy squeezing the trigger. Best value for money HMR on the market.
