I think it's easy to view Jose as a bit of a media whore but IMHO he is one sharp manager........I don't think he does anything for no good reason.

He is up there with the very best, love or hate him, it's true and he has got the trophies to prove it

The media is just another tool that he uses, clever bloke whatever your opinion of him..

Totally agree mate, to me sport (and I can only relate this to football cause that's all I played) is 80% attitude and 20% ability.........with the right attitude your ability can improve but ability without the right attitude is a waste of time IMHO.

Certain managers and players have the gift of lifting any player around them who has the right attitude to heights he never dreamed he could reach ability/form wise.

They have an aura that just flows off them........not every player or manager has it and they will forever be mediocre IMHO

Don't think some of our fans are to happy with him at the moment.

Don't take this the wrong way mate because you seem a decent lad, but your fans ain't worth a wank.

Laptop footy fans who have never kicked a ball in anger, half of who go there because they think its "trendy" to follow Chelsea......football people know the score with a manager like Jose.

They should count themselves lucky that football wise, they have the whole package at the moment.

Short memories mate, short memories ;)

To be honest mate can't get there myself money wise could not afford it would love to been twice.

. Yeh and managers Who have had ten years in the prem and won fook all throw the towel in every time the play a top four side , tactical inept dont get good over night either lol

You can't compare when the big man took over to when Moyes took over........the big man had to totally rebuild the club and team, Moyes took over the finished article.

I'm not really interested in the while Man U debate but if were discussing managers then here's my bit.

What makes a good manager is someone who has an eye for a player, they can see where that player can fit into there team and what they can bring too it.

They can also watch a game and when loosing have that ability to put subs on that can change it.

No I have no idea if Moyes can do that but time will tell.

You can have all the money in the world and buy the most expensive players but that still doesn't guarantee a quality 'team'.

I actually think he has been a bit hard done by. Ferguson although one of the greatest managers ever has sneaked out the door when the talent he brought in was coming to an end. Add to that the injuries of key players and some world class players not being consistent enough and he is on an uphill climb.

It will come good for Moyes....I think he has what it takes.

Just seen Pelagrini moaning about how players shouldn't be allowed to be sold within the same league during the winter window!

They won't say f**k all if Fulham manage to sign Morrison from West Ham or if Cardiff sign Fabio Da Silva from United this window.. Funny how 'fairness to the league' as mentioned by Wenger and all only applies when it might effect your club and prospects...

Manny was sought out to ask his opinion Malt (an easy headline swerve), i think 'within the same league' just about covers transactions between West Ham and Ful;ham, either way there's certainly a gremlin in the works else the cup-tied ruling would'nt apply to such transactions

Lot of pressure being put on the mata kid, folk are talking like the big comeback's (one i'd persoanlly like to see) already been done...if it don't pan out like that then 37 'kin million will get mentioned a lot.

Moyes hasn't got the experience or the tactical brains atm imo. He changed to much to quickly, should of kept the backroom staff as was and concentrated on sorting the team out. We should of took baines off everton instead of felani. We just need the midfield sorting out, we have the backbone of quality players just lacking the confidence and tactics.

Mata will help but we need more than him.

Not a fan of the January window myself and I said earlier on in the thread that this transfer could benefit Chelsea in the way you're saying it might, but Wenger and Arsenal have the same right to strengthen their squad in this window as anyone else.. Just because he don't agree with it and won't use it don't mean other teams shouldn't either out of fairness to him and his team..

I think its horrible the way the richest clubs in the land like Chelsea can almost control a club who do have morals like Arsenal in as much as they can have a 40 million pound asset at a club challenging for the title who will happily go to a club who might not even get in Europe......just so as to get a game of football every week !

Personally i think Chelski and Sheikh City are killing the game and something will have to be done sooner or later.

I may have read you wrong mate, but IMHO players want to play........if they are good players (and in this thread Mata is a good player) then they want to play........more so in a World Cup year.

It's no good being good at something is you never get to do it, probably the only player I ever had respect for who was happy to warm a bench was Solskier.......that boy sure could sit and read a game of football.

Other than that, any sportsman who is content to pick up his cheque and never compete is a nothing in my book.

Another thing is that I think the issue of football and money overlap too much, too many managers, teams and fans use it as an excuse not to give a good account of themselves.

When the whistle blows, it's 11 against 11 and that's all that should matter to any player.......jmho

Don't worry Gnash Sunderland will bring City back down to earth on 2nd March.

Weds away Following of 9k was the Biggest away following this yr in Britain by a country mile.

We could of took 25k no probs as the 9k didn't

Even make General sale.

All came out the woodwork when they realised they might get a result didnt they :D ......just a shame the home game was played in front of a half empty ground !!.....oh but it was just after xmas and nobody had any money did they :D .........Ive seen your support over 30 odd years Max remember ;)

Wilf thats what im saying mate.....a club like Chelsea can force a 40 million pound player out who will then play in a red shirt against sides who have already played against him in the same season wearing a blue shirt.....its not right in my opinion it just cheapens the game......and then we all sit moaning that players have no loyalty to their clubs !
