. Yeh and managers Who have had ten years in the prem and won fook all throw the towel in every time the play a top four side , tactical inept dont get good over night either lol

You can't compare when the big man took over to when Moyes took over........the big man had to totally rebuild the club and team, Moyes took over the finished article.

I think it's easy to view Jose as a bit of a media whore but IMHO he is one sharp manager........I don't think he does anything for no good reason. He is up there with the very best, love or hate him

Moyes was good at Preston Everton signed a prospect , Moyes stabilised Everton, even took them to europe on a none existent budget, well done! The years that followed brought Mid table, good enough, kept us in the prem, couple of cup runs too. There it is, Moyes never achieved anything, some may disagree. Our club badge reflects his time at the club, he took our motto off, we want it back

Look Fergie got out at the right time

He knew that team wasn't going to be good enough this year to win the champions league or Prem

How long did it take Fergie to win something ?

Then he hit lucky with beckham'scholes 'Butt'Sharp'Giggs' ect

Hansen' you win nothing with youngsters lol

That lot gave Fergie a platform to build on

I'm loving All the united fans seeing there team loose regularly

Welcome to the real world

They will win things again here and there

But won't dominate

As other Prem teams are much stronger nowadays.

I think Moyses will wait till in the summer to do the bulk of his buying maybe 4 twentey mill plus players and maybe even a 60 mill buy ?

But in this transfer window they could do worse than Baines and Cabaye IMO ?

He must have been lucky at Aberdeen too then when he stole all the youngsters from Glasgow, MacLeish, Millar etc and won the cup winners cup.

. Bains will stay at everton , you seem to think moyes is good in the transfer market Actions speak louder than words he is as inept in that department as he is tactically, He can fill gaps with loan players no doupt about it , The glittering array of failures he bought far out ways his successes , he youth involvement at Everton was none existent , his fear of playing youth is legendary , mind due james beaty did put a few quid in to the local economy lol " Dithering dave "

You can't compare when the big man took over to when Moyes took over........the big man had to totally rebuild the club and team, Moyes took over the finished article.

Moyes' initial record at United is stronger than Fergie's.

Unfortunately with the sensationalism of the media and the overwhelming pressure to generate results to keep sponsors, business partners and shareholders happy it all turns into a big circus which adds even more pressure on to the manager and the team.

. I wont laugh but do me a favoir mate when fergi joined utd name the team sqaud , then name the team sqaud and value of what pop eye has inherited think you will find there will be a slightly differant situation

Both managers inherited some great and crap players. Moyes needs to do a rebuilding job just as Fergie did in the eighties as he took over a team past it's best. Values are incomparable as it's a different animal now but there is the foundation of a solid first XI in both squads, nothing more than that though.

On both occasions some serious money needs to be spent and it involves a wholesale clear out of the dead wood. Fergie should have done that before last season started but he didn't for whatever reason.

Moyes inherited a team that was gifted the premier league and they were never going to be up to defending it, especially when the rivals made a good start in the transfer window.

Losing Fergie and Gill together was a blow that has had knock on effects on the pitch and in the boardroom. Moyes and Woodward don't have the same clout in the transfer markets and it showed in the summer.

United really need to do something to demonstrate their intent on getting back toward the top and sacking Moyes isn't necessarily the right way to go just now. Strong imports in this window will help tide them over until the summer when they can reflect and regroup, under a different leader if that's the best option then.

Commercial interests will drive any changes in personnel faster than the dressing room at United, it's a different set up to the smaller clubs like Palace or West Ham.

I've been a Utd fan for as long as I've watched football ( over 30 years), but this is nothing like when Fergie took over, he had a full re build job to do, the club is a different animal now... this year will be a wash out, RVP and Rooney are needed back ASAP... there is no strength in depth, everyone know they haven't made the signings required ( Moyes was let down on that)...

The verdicts obviously out now on Moyes, but who should be there? or who could follow Fergie?

Guardiola or Merinho........manager who player can respect because they have won things with the biggest clubs in the world

Both had made their decisions I think mate, the mistake Moyes made was clearing out all of Fergies background staff, he lost a lot of experience in one hit there

I agree with that.. Fergie told him to keep the backroom staff in place, at least until the transition was complete and the dust had settled..

I think Fergie got out because he could see what was happening with the club and he wanted to go out on a high after winning the league. The Glazers are sucking the life out of the club and we can't compete with the likes of City and Chelsea without spending serious cash. A club with finances like United should be able to spend serious money in each transfer window too keep us competitive but we ain't doing so. We cleared nearly £100m over the last financial year, and that was after the massive debt payments and interest have been taken into account. This is money that should be invested back on the pitch. The yanks are nothing like the owners at City and Chelsea, they are only in this for the money. They haven't put a penny of their own into the club, even to buy it in the first place. It beggars belief. I can see them hanging on to it and wringing every last penny they can out of us and then putting the club up for sale once we stop being a cash cow for them to milk..

There's a little proviso within that money raising arrangment Malt...it can be called back-in should Trafford not qualify for European football two yrs on the bounce.

Fergie got an awful lot of credit for all them young kids that come through, Kidd was specifically headhunted by City after it was clocked the fall off rate for 14-18yr olds prospects and foreseeing a barca type training complex with schooling and housing in the very near future, Kidd was used by Trafford for recruitment/overseeing purposes going back to his playing days...his manner provides the Yang needed, perhaps why he his held in such high esteem when walking around the city regardless of working for both clubs.

although fergie managed you for 26 years or so I think he jumped ship, 1 because jose mourhino came back to Chelsea. 2 man city got peligrini a very good manager and plenty off cash to spend. 3 man united can not compete money wise , and moyes dosent have ferguson quality so your f****d now
