NEWKID 27,078
When you have a run like man utd had and gather the fans from afar. Its a bitter pill to swollow mediocrity I have no beef with man utd Good football is good football i just dont envy your next couple of seasons Under dethering david i feel sorry for him in a way because WHEN he gets sacked from utd he aint gonna get work anywhere else!!! utd would of been better giving the likes of robson, hughes, bruce etc the job as at least they have the fans backing from the off and wouldnt be an "outsider" from the off.........if fergie handled the keane affair better then utd would of had a manager in the utd mould ready and waiting!!!! Don't think any of them would've done any better mate, Keane especially, loved him as a footballer, but he's not right for management IMO... Ole, may have been the one, he would've kept the back ground staff and added Giggs, Scholes and I reckon Gary Neville into the coaching mix, there wouldv'e been respect through out imo they wouldnt do much worse tho mate......... tbh im buzzing they signed moyes..... stabba 10,745
Question....Where would Man Utd be now if Fergie was still managing. With the exact same team and the exact same players out with injury?? Top 3 for definate imo. Moyes isnt cut out for the job.

TheRealChuckNorris 42
Moyes' initial record at United is stronger than Fergie's. Unfortunately with the sensationalism of the media and the overwhelming pressure to generate results to keep sponsors, business partners and shareholders happy it all turns into a big circus which adds even more pressure on to the manager and the team. Haha, I wouldn't take anything football related from a paper that is basically a woman's gossip magazine in newspaper format.
baw 4,360
I think we all could see moyes would fail. He's turned a champion winning team into an embarrassment in a matter of months. It's funny listening to the fans say, give him time, it's not upto you, or the chairman. The ones who will decide his fate are the players. The players there who worked under Fergie just don't have the same respect for moyes and who can blame them? He has proved nothing in the game to suggest he's capable of leading them. When Fergie went to Man U, he'd won a European trophy with Aberdeen, a feat in itself. The only players who will show moyes respect are middle table players, a place where Man U will become familiar with under his management.
WILF 46,602
You can't compare when the big man took over to when Moyes took over........the big man had to totally rebuild the club and team, Moyes took over the finished article.

baw 4,360
The thing is though, Man U could have got anyone, they are that type of club. I honestly think fergie thought he'd got a man in that would emulate him, be there for the long haul. He needs to ship out the bad eggs and get his own guys in. Unfortunately, I can't see top players wanting to come for him and he'll pay through the nose for mediocre ones like he has already.
