beast 1,884 Posted January 26, 2014 Report Share Posted January 26, 2014 for me, a little pup needs to be comfortable and happy, i dont think its fair for it to go straight out all alone. different if you have another dog for company, but you have to be a bit careful as some dogs (and especially some bitches) wont tolerate a pup, especially when it keeps bothering them wanting to play. mine go in a crate indoors, become one of the family, and i gradually get them used to being outside for longer and longer periods. depends on the pup, but most of them i let this process last 2 to 4 weeks. i generally leave them out in the day and indoors all night after this, but they can stay out overnight if necessary Quote Link to post
