How much 17 ammo are you allowed??

How much 17 ammo are you allowed on your ticket??

Just had the policeman come out to inspect me fathers cabinet, he wants a 17. and the copper told him he wont be allowed to buy 500 rounds at a time cos they are tightening the controls on ammo. Is this right? cos i got 500 for my 22.

Apart from flatter trajectory and higher velocity i cant see a lot of difference between the two for vermin control.

here in eire it's no differance rifle shotgun centrefire, rimfire 100 rd's only

when the officers came and saw me they also said i couldnt have 500, not because they were tightening the laws but in their mind buying that amount of ammo would be too expensive, crazy aint it so i think they changed it to 150

Well I've got a rimfire and can buy a 1000 and hold 1500....the reason I gave was the fact that it is cheaper to buy 1000 than 500.

made mistake of only putting 400 to buy and 500 to kep when applyed for licence didnt have any trouble though same with my other calibers .243 .308 .223

I can hold 1000 hmr and 1000 12g. When i added my rifle on they put the 12bore up to 1000.
