Hi all, I applied for the grant of a fire arms certificate in mid November and haven't yet heard anything, is it too early to chase them up to be sure nothing was lost etc?

Thanks

Have you checked to see if they've cashed your cheque?

Nothing wrong with a polite call to check everything is ok. Even if you tell them you're trying to organise your diary over the next couple of weeks and would like to sort a date for the interview.

Yes, they're important and you wouldn't want to piss them off but you're a customer in this process and a polite enquiry wouldn't hurt anything at all.

Cheers,

I've been waiting since September mate (South Yorkshire).

I've made some contact but just got told it was still pending.

I've since discussed with firearms team at BASC and they called manager and was informed there was a back log after moving offices and system was waiting to be upgraded (or something along them lines).

Hope you get yours soon mate :-)
