Anyone got any recent "firsts". Last year i saw a swift sat on a telephone line, didnt think id ever see that in my lifetime. This morning just walked past a heron fast asleep. I was collecting mole traps up and it was pissing down. Normally my traps would have been clanking away but with my box half full of mud, plus hard rain and i walked past the heron to within 6 feet who was in the middle of a field with its head down. Its probably still there now!! Not a great first but the swift was.

Anyone else?

The legend goes you find this and it's tea on't table, clean house and a smile when ya get in from work

Sat in asda carpark in leeds (having dinner) and saw a shep (starling) jump up into the grill of a car and start picking insects off the radiator... def a 1st for me.

I was sat in the car at macdonalds this summer eating and the sheppies come scavenging around us as they do but I'd never heard one impersonating a siren before. The missus wasn't as impressed as me.
