Lurcher Men In Liverpool

Recommended Posts

Hello, I'm a new member looking for experienced lurcher lads in Liverpool or nearby to get my dog a start and show me the ropes. My dog is a six month old saluki x greyhound / deerhound x bull from working parents and is very keen already. She gets on well with dogs and is obedient, recall is good and she retrieves amongst other things. I joined hoping to meet lads that know the score with dogs and can show me how it works, or even someone new with a dog and similar interests. Thanks.

Hello and welcome to the forum, Liverpool is a city that has plenty of lads who work dogs, i'd be very surprised if you don't know of any local. There is a club also, The Merseyside Working Terrier & Lurcher Club, founded in 1980. Lot's of Scouse lads on here too.

My advice would be, get a feel of things on here. It can be difficult for lads to 'welcome' and take out newbies in this current climate but stick around and contribute on here, folk will then get a feel for you, if your genuine or not, then things may start to open up for you.

Thanks for the responses lads, and the welcome. Yeah I'm an anfield/Everton native myself, I've met a few lads around parks and exchanged numbers but no invites yet, they all love my dog I think it's just them needing to get used to me being an outsider to be honest. Ryan if you fancy a mooch mate let me know, I'm a complete beginner so I could do with knowing a few game fair spots ( if that's the correct term?) Atuddy and Bosun, same for you if you're about I'm well game for a little mooch anywhere.

Crocky Park is just about the hottest place in or around the city. Personally, i wouldn't walk a lurcher or terrier near the place! Sure plenty still go over there but they live local and know the place and even they get nicked..!!

I really am at a bit of a loss here fellas, if you've met a few folk local, they should direct you to local specks for a few rats or rabbits and even without the info, surely you have an idea... Christ, you only have to walk round any Mackys shrubbery at night and you'll kill rats, let alone any old waste ground in a big city....! Stanley Park and Crocky Park are simply the worst places you could mention or go, let alone put up on an open forum such as this....! :hmm:
