Importing Traps From The Us

Recommended Posts

now then gents. i want to import a couple of dozen bodygrip traps mostly 116s and maybe 120s.

and suposeing it wanted to get a few for my collection like a couple of big 330s or coil spring traps

is their a risk of customs holding my traps? or even more so the traps that are not legal to use in this country?

has any one any experience of this?

You are very likely to get hit with the import duty mate, which I think is 20%. then if you're using someone like royal mail they charge an extra £8-00 for collecting the import tax.

I don't want to put you off, but importing things isn't always cheaper; as I've learned, to my cost. atb.

I have bought plenty ,never had a problem, why would anyone want 120s the DUKE magnum ticks all the boxes

Except the one that has the heading 'Spring Trap Approval Order'.

At the moment......

One day, in the not too distant future, I expect the Dukes will get their approval. In the meantime, their use in the UK remains legally challenging...

As for importing, I've done it myself, and it can be cheaper. The best way is to ask the seller to treat the goods as commercial samples and mark them accordingly...
