Hello lads, I'm looking for dimensions for poke nets, whether to start off with a row of 8 or more and to what width you's would recommend ie 17or more, thanks for reading

Around 28 rows long on a 4 1/4 board will give you a 5ft net. Shape it how you like. I make my 4ft`s starting with 12, increasing every row to 20, 5 rows of 20 in the middle.Then back down. Should be plenty for a 5 ft net too. Just start with 4 rows of 12 and finish with 4 rows of 12..

I just make it longer than a purse net , i just knit them 5 foot or six foot long only use one two at the most when we are out

I think bob is referring to the mesh size being 4.1/4.... Wich is made with a 2. 1/8 mesh board,,,,

 

If you use a 2.1/4 mesh board it would be 4.1/2 mesh
