Yep as said in the other thread a Cocker sounds like the best bet for you here.

 

The pic is of my mates he's just got in...think i'll be going down that route next time i'm in the market for a dog

Just get a cocker mate they are awesome dogs! I havnt mastered the art of putting pics on here but I've some really cute pics of mine as a pup and as he's grown in to a cracking beating and picking up dog (so far lol) if you want me to send you some pm me your email

It might help convince the mrs lol

Also you can get some really small cockers, the keeper on one of the shoots I beat on has one smaller than most terriers! I thought it was just a pup at first and to young to be out in the shooting field until I asked, and he said she 4!

Border /Lakeland would be my choice , had a couple that could & did turn a paw to just about anything , (sometimes without permission) ..........in fact quite a lot without permission ...good little bushing dog & one had a real talent on following a blood line ...failing that a short legged saluki :whistling:...there hard to find but they are out there ... :laugh:
