Steve_in_Devon 9
I have had approval from the wife (boss) for another dog, but it has come with conditions from the rest of the family (thats the 3 boys) They all want a small dog, we have a springer at the moment. I have been looking at a few options and would like to now if anyone on here has had any experience with some crosses. If it was my choice I would go with a cocker spaniel, but that wont get the approval, so was wondering if anyone has experience with a cocker cross terrier or a beagle cross terrier? I did suggest a borber terrier, but the was not met with much excitement, so at the moment I am making suggestions to the family. I know they would like a wirehaired duchschund (teckel) but ther dont seem to be many around and they seem to be very expensive. I have just seen a cocker x patterdale? I know people will ask what it will be used for. We rent on a country estate that is a shooting estate and I do some beating, but would like to start doing some rough shooting. There used to be a guy who was beating who had a jack russell that was brilliant and it could really get into alot of the dense undergrowth areas.
