Plummerterrier 291
Anybody recommend any decent knives for butchering deer? Reasonable price too if possible ? Cheers
bobcullen79 1,495
I`d look for an actual butchers knife. All the "hunting knives" Im sharpening at the moment are all fecked from field dressing. Seems fashion has overtaken function with some knife makers..

jamesS410 106
+1 for the Mora clipper, for the money you can't beat them and if you really knacker them up they're so cheap to replace it really doesn't matter. A tip is to go for the carbon steel version rather than the stainless, it takes a bit more looking after but I find it holds a finer edge for longer, is easier to sharpen and to me personally it seems more precise in use
Bosun11 537
If anyone likes eating the critters they catch, whatever the size, get yourself some half decent tools for the job, propper cutlery will make life a easier and make the food more edible..!
