If they smashed the box off the wall it was made of polypropalene (refer what i was saying earlier).....and they did what to your slave box???...ya get me?...intruder alarm systems do not simply fall down cause folk have under-spec'd...they need combining with mechanical protection and solid locked internal doors and frames do seem to slow them down enough whilst unaware of being rumbled or filmed just long enough for a result....infact once technical enough the whole pantomine can be flicked to friends live....'psst get a load of this one' style.....besides which a plug overheating and setting it's first spark is capable of being identified very sharply through such a system and letting you know exactly whats going on in your home even ridding you of the headache of getting the fire brigade out (done for ya). There are tricks of the trade to circumnavigate the odd lot lagging behind the calls, thats depends how imaganitive the indivdual installer is (not too disimiliar to folk pretending they've seen a fella with a gun in the garden when useing a fone-thator a code for that can be done electronically....even if the phone lines are chopped)....like i said...some will know the 1/16th of blood and be prepaired to chase it to that end.

 

Yep. You're absolutely right. This happened at a time when it was the best system I could afford. Not to mention 8 years ago. I could spend a small fortune on security. Cameras. Wireless access. Even go to the length of having a third party manage system and alert me when it goes off. It's still just a way to buy time until the police arrive and in most cases it's not fast enough to catch the culprits in action.

bollocks. you can get a system that will create one hell ofa din,and lights that will light up the street. chances of it ever been put the test will be slim,cause they will move on to some where less secure.

 

tbh if your houses are prone/liable to be broken into. then maybe you should adress those issues. im just going by some of you lads comments.seems you live in some proper crime ridden areas.

 

Yes you can, and like I said above it was the best one I could afford at the time. But what's the point when your neighbours are more concerned at the noise than your shit being stolen.

 

I did address the crime issue by moving away. It was ridiculous. Police knew they weren't going to catch them and pretty much treated you with contempt. The criminals knew that even if you did catch them in the act they'd either be slapped on the wrists or able to sue you for the kicking you'd give them.

 

Again we're back to criminal entitlement and victim disarmament.

unfortunately i'm City till i die Chris :boogy:the thought of running to the hills is sacrelarr....just aside note...a good piece of kit, can.. beside the dwelling mechanicals...be taken to further address's...it's not like someones got to do 5k everytime they move. Folk will do £20k on the right dog in the hope it actually is all it's cracked upped to be. Persoanl necklaces for femme's which are activated when they fake a 'Gosh' and cover it with thier hand when in trouble from a male are a clever advancment. Sends a nice a little p/a code without spookin an intruder or even some herbert simply stood at a window drunk in the knowledge no males are around (seems a popular stunt from the east europeans short on a leg over)
