Personal Opinions On The Dog For The Job?

Theres been loads of posts about all round dogs but what mix is best for each quarry

Also what do you think the ultimate all round working lurcher is?

There is no such things. At least there is no winning genetic formula measured in neat percentages.

 

The best dog for the job will be one bred out of two dogs that are doing that job to a high level, from lines that are bred for that job, which has been reared, trained and entered well....

I just meant peoples opinions... I know a dog is what you make it but gotta be a reason people choose the mix they do.

The case a large percentage of the time is either there mates have a certain x so they follow suit or they've read on the internet that so and so x are the one to own so they follow suit, usually without putting any thought into it.

Preban a lot of folk used saluki blooded dogs for hare, terrier blooded dogs for vermin and a massive range for bunnys and deer.
