Pup That Survive Parvo

Recommended Posts

Hi folks just writing an update on my dreadful time of having parvo in my yard.Anyone that read my post before about my pups getting the parvo and gave me advice thanks very much as i new very little about this as it was the first time i had ever came across it.Anyway to make the long story short out of my two new pups one survived.I had sat up for 24 hours seringe feeding them salt/sugar and water one pup looked a lot stronger than the other through the night the weaker looking pup died in the early hours of morning.I could not stay awake any longer so i put the other pup out in the shed with lots of shavings and a hot water bottle under him and a bowl of salt /sugar water beside him and some chicken and rice.I had a couple of hours kip came down stairs thinking the other pup would be dead when i got to the kitchen i heard a pup barking i knew it was him i ran out to the shed and could not believe my eyes. This little fella doing laps of the shed tail waggling barking like mad feeding well and drinking. He seems to have no side effects full of beans.Just said id let people know how i got on and thanks for reading. :victory:

its a lottery with parvo if septicaemia gets into the bloodstream from the gut then its fatal, if not and you can keep it hydrated then theres every chance of a good outcome, glad to hear that your pup pulled through

sound man is that why the pup that died started to pass blood through his rear due to septicaemia :hmm:
