I just sprayed it with an antiseptic for a couple of weeks... not sure whether it did any good or just stopped her irritating it... but it cleared up by itself.... Guest dotty Posted January 11, 2008 Report Share Posted January 11, 2008 i had this. has your dog got any more in that area. have a close look. it spreads a bit in close range when the dog is cleaning its leg all over. with mine, it was a bacterial infection under the skin. little trip to the vet and they'll give you some pills (can't remember the name) for a week long course and it should clear up nicely. soon than later. because it does spread and the scabs rip off on walks or on drill and can hurt a bit. harddigging 42 Posted January 11, 2008 Report Share Posted January 11, 2008 it looks to me like there may be a bit of something in there thorn or something along them lines i dont think it looks to seriouse exspecially if its a dry wound if you still not happy with it in a few days nip down vets but in the meane time soake it in warm salt water see if that draws anything out and just keep it clean Quote Link to post Share on other sites
TOPPER 1,809 Posted January 14, 2008 Report Share Posted January 14, 2008 IF YOU HAVE TRYED A HOT PIN AND NOTHING BATH IT WITH STRONG JEYES FLIUD SOLUTION FOR A FEW DAYS WORKS BETTER THAN CRESOTE AND IF THERES ANYTHING BACTERTRIL IT WILL KILL IT BUT DONT LET THE DOG LICK IT.
