Aluminium Core Catapult

Recommended Posts

Hey up...

Got an aluminium core catapult for sale...

Its got micarta 'palmswell' and fork tips and maple facings each side...

Now... this is my first attempt at an ally core... and totally out of my comfort zone making this....

Therefore... theres a few blemishes around the aluminium....

Its bloody hard work without all the fancy machinery....

I tell you what though...

Its strong... fits the hand a treat... and shoots true... what more d'ya want for hunting  ...

It made for the right hand...

Banded with double theraband gold... 20>15mm tapered and a nice shaped leather pouch...

These go for a lot more due to the core/work involved...

But im just looking to sell to recover costs...

So say 25quid posted? Think thats fair.

Paypal preferred. Cheers. Lee

Very nice mate, just a question, you say it's for the right hand. If I'm right handed would I hold the catty or the pouch in my right hand? Not done much tbh but I'm right handed and would probably draw the pouch with my right? Or am I doing it Arse about tit? Birthday soon so may be sending you a pm bud I fancy a nice catty ;)

Im confused over this too...

But i dont actually think there is a 'right and wrong' ...

Some say if your right handed... you hold the catty in your left... and draw with your right....

And others say if your right handed you hold the catty in your right and draw with your left...

I do the latter...

Ive mates who do it one way... and mates who do it the other way...

This was made to be held in the right hand... and drawn with the left.....

.... im busy back at work now mate... so wont have any for a while i wouldnt think... ive some forks drying... but taking a little break for a while... i only make them when i can be arsed  ...

Nice catapult.

I always assumed that a right handed person held the catty in the left hand (I do).

Same with bows and guns isn't it?

Or am I left handed :icon_redface:

Feck knows... i hold a gun in the right hand...

Whichever suits you i suppose...

Unless its an automatic rifle and your holding it whichever side the cocking handle ISNT  ...

Can see the logic in that...

But it feels back to front to me...

Like trying to write with your left hand.. ...

Cant be a right and a wrong way...

Each to their own i suppose...

Haven't been on here in a while and haven't been shooting in a while so I'm deciding so sell some gear and focus on other things.
Firstly is my BSA lightning tactical xl in .177 comes with hawke hd 3-9x40 scope, one piece mounts and a LED ray gl2 torch with flip up red filter and buffalo river case.
Only fault with the gun is the front sling swivel is missing.
I also have a mad dog growler jacket in APG size medium
A top gun skeet vest size medium
      British army Dpm smock medium-large
British army issue jungle boots size 11
Large jack pike shooting hold all
British army cam net unsure of size but large enough for a personal hide
I would like to see £130 for the rifle but I'm open to offers for everything together in a bundle
Collection only for the rifle but the other items I can post and take paypal payments
      I'm in Warminster Wiltshire
      Thanks
