terryd 8,552 Posted January 14, 2014 Report Share Posted January 14, 2014 My nan makes a mean welsh cake nans always cook the best food haha I did go through johnnyboys in the fishing trip like a trainmind haha ain't that the truth my grans cooking was amazing. She made a veg stew of some sort and a crispy suet pudding. I have never yet been able to get close to it. Pretty sure it had chickpeas in or maybe even beans. Thats where they these mass produced ones fall short imo and even though they keep well after cooking you won't get a better Welsh cake than one thats just been cooked.
