Badger Cull

Recommended Posts

Here in Ireland the farmers have been known to take the law into their own hands and that involves a slurry tanker, mind you, it's probably a quicker death than the legal method which is professional snaring. This means maybe leaving a badger in a snare for 2 or 3 days. This will be denied but it's the truth.

As for an open season on the badger ?

There was once and the cowboys ruined that for everyone.

JMHO but countries with a badger problem should look to France for the methods and solutions.

But that's never going to happen either.

Farmers should be able to do it as and when they feel it's warranted. This would mean that they can have direct control over the potential impact on their herds and also removes the chance for the antis to target one area / timeframe with their disruptive activities therefore reducing the cost for the police.

I've seen first hand the impact of bovine TB on cattle and a farm's ability to trade and it just feels to me like the Govt are dragging their heels far too slowly over this issue.

Stop pandering to Brian May's brainwashed idiots and give the farmers who are already being squeezed on all sides the ability to manage their estates as they think best for their herds and future business.
