Rake aboot 4,936
Can anyone spell irony ? No one tells him what to do, he lives by a fictional characters "commandments" Fits the criteria anyway. I`ve been exposed to far more religious hypocrisy than most people, and this just smacks of more of the same. As I suggested earlier, reasoned discussion with a blind zealot is impossible, and boring,, I`m out

Lol) i am doing it in the memory of some dead retaliative or other gets me, why not get them a headstone as it will be around far longer religion should be solely for the individual to ponder not thrust down anyone's throat with threats of hell fire damnation or do you get extra virgins if you shift 200 or more extra tickets or maybe a weeks time share in the garden of Eden for the most converted that month,
NEWKID 27,381
I agree Paulus... If you wish to have that belief, and follow that path, then who am I or anyone else to tell you otherwise... The same as for those who choose not to, why do some people feel they need to constantly try and save you? I lived next door to a Mormon family for 5 years a a child, I was friends with their 2 daughters, although not overly pushy as such, they did make me feel uncomfortable at times when in their house as their beliefs were pushed on me and my brother a bit.... The way seeker and Wilf have explained their faith on this thread, is very interesting, and cleverly written.... Really good lads
Huan72 687
When I was about 14/15 I did consider training to be a priest, I was even going to go to a place in the summer to see of its for you and stuff. I was very religious back then but one of the things that stopped me was the conflict between Jesus' teachings and the wealth of the church. But here's the thing with the Heaven and Hell thing, IF hell did exist, the God I knew would not give you a dip in the lake of fire for not believing in him, no way, and if he did I would not have wanted to follow him anyway. Think about it for a second, if you believe in hell, an eternity of pain and suffering without end, do you really think that God, in whichever way you see him, would put you there, I don't

Some real different slants, and views, well put over... I would of liked to listened to this conversation over a couple of beers with a few of the lads, I wouldn't be able to add much, but would've liked to have listened...
