The Seeker 3,048
And all the animals of the world will be meat for you, even as the green herbs I give to you everything Already sorted in the gospel Seeker ! Yes and I also remind them that Peter was a fisherman. "And he said to them follow me and I will make you fishers of men" Foxdropper have your opinion by all means but to think I'm weak because I have faith is seriously a big mistake.
ChrisJones 7,975
Personally I don't care who anyone prays to. Or doesn't. Whatever gets you through the day is absolutely fine by me, providing it's between consenting adults. I do, however, draw the line when it comes to faith defining government, or national policy. Please don't make me party to your faith. I don't want it and I have every right to go about my daily life without it. Same as you.

Drebz87 39
Facts to me are what my physical sense tell me are real .Nothing more nothing less. physical sense what is that? do you believe scientists and there facts? if so then even they cannot explain certain phenomenon, like the dark matter theory, to explain the part of mass that is mssing from the universe? and to say some followers of faith are weak is IMO rather ignorant and near sighted, it takes a strong man of principles to stick to his faith when alot of people find it easy to beliitle and mock them for it. I dont have a religion btw but does not stop me respecting people who do, each to there own and aslong as it doesnt interfere with me and mine crack on!

NEWKID 27,086
I may be the Reverend but I don't have it in my power to make NikB taller than 3' 6".........miricales come extra !! Lolserious question, do you not think that religion is human beings way of coping with the fact most will ponder the question "WHY" and then follow it by "There must be something more" Nope, I think it is a genuine opening of your heart to all that is good and beautiful........a desire to make your day to day life and the encounters you have with others a better experience for you and the people you meet. I never think about the "why" of life, I always think in terms of "why not" ...........as in I never think "why me" I look at things as "why not me" Once you have this mindset you forget sorrow, revenge, anger, hate........you don't let the darkness in. See, I think life is a test.......are you gonna meet it like a man or are you gonna feel sorry for yourself all your life about everything, blame people, blame situations, be angry. As my old man used to say "wipe your mouth and move on"..........and I think that is sort of the message of Jesus too. Lads this is one of the best threads I've read, some clever thought out replies..... I know little of science or religion, but what you have written above Wilf strikes a chord with me.. We all have things to deal with, some more than others, that's life... But... For me personally the parts you write about feeling sorry for yourself, anger at the situations you find yourself in etc, can make people think f**k it, then revert to something they probably don't want to be.. I'm not sure if its faith in something greater, or having faith in yourself, but to make bad things positive takes a certain amount of faith I suppose... Personally I try to make the best of everything now, and see opportunities where perhaps others may not, I can promise you I've had enough shit as well to know how desperate you can be... Like I say I'm not religious, but I do have faith ( I think lol).... I would never knock another mans beliefs either
Malt 379
Facts to me are what my physical sense tell me are real .Nothing more nothing less. Your physical senses can't tell you that a single water molecule contains one atom of oxygen and two atoms of hydrogen, are you saying that's bollocks? You seem to have a pretty narrow view on things with that statement..
