Mickey Finn 3,014
Ahhh, Burning times? Like someone else posted, the witches, and pagen worshipers of old were wiped from the face of the earth. Their beliefs, like so many others are lost to history. Again, sorry about that. I believe like most that those quaint customs are harmless, and not an affront to God. As to why I apologize for earlier activities carried out by members of my faith. I'm linked to them and bear the same responsibilities to follow Christ teachings. Though to be honest, I don't think I'd be comfortable participating in a witch burning. I've always been more of an Impaler myself. ATB

Lots of them even became accepted and practiced by Christians.
charlie caller 3,654
Now there is an oxymoron for you. ATB Well compressed paradox's aside, the idea of witchcraft as in worshipping, or being a vassel of satan is entirely a christian invention, the healers, wise women and men, of old had no connection with the christian church, and did not hold christian beliefs, so of course did not recognise satan, as to do so one must hold christian beliefs, and although there are different forms of modern paganism, the essentials are the same as was practised by our forbears, IE a belief in the duality of nature, and the manipulation of the forces, IE the microcosm in touch with the macrocosm, much of which has been passed down through the ages, orally as is our way, and far from being wiped from the face of the earth, we have survived everything thrown at us, and there are far more of us than you may think

neems 2,406
Do you think those old people pressed and pushed those Christians to the point where they snapped and had no choice but to burn them alive?
paulus 26
Do you think those old people pressed and pushed those Christians to the point where they snapped and had no choice but to burn them alive? no i think Africa is a fooked up place where some sections of the population just like an excuse to chop people up or burn them, unlike the Muslims who just like to behead them. Blacks in general.Lee Rigbys killers were raised here,or at least one of them was. Just think what's going to happen if/when we can no longer afford to feed theses animals.
