air gun ant 1,666
having just got my old 90" defender up to scratch, i was thinking of building myself a caravan as a new project. but now my dads decided to get himself a landrover and went to look at one at the weekend, an old series 3 110" with a 3.5ltr v8 petrol engine. he said no as it needs to much work and he hasnt got the space. but im thinking of getting it anyway lol i havnt seen it yet but apparently the blokes spent £700 just doing the cylender heads or something but he only wants £500 for it? so im thinking of just getting it and depending on how far gone it actually is, either trying to restore it or if worst comes to worst i can break it and sell it for parts? im sure £500 can easely be got back in parts? what do you guys think? have i lost it!!! irishnut 297
if he has spent £700 on a 3.5 v8 rover engine, it should have high compression heads, a holley carb, electronic distributor and about 250 bhp. and a gapping arse, because a mechanic has raped him fair and square. (apart from the arse raping) theres a garage full of spares for it apparently including 2 gearbox's and theres been a new rear crossmember put on sometime recently so hopefully the rest of chassis had some attention to.
