f***ing poaching b*****d f**k off,,,,, been called this before

Feck knows where he gets this term minkenry,,,I hate it,,, in fact as interesting as your posts are,, I have stoped reading them,,, cos your name annoys me,,,

I stopped reading them because he comes across as a proper bellend!!

Well in that case it won't seem to much to ask somebody who has EXPERIENCE to write it??? You see from where I'm sat you seem that intent on being famous and having YOUR. Own book that you ain't listening to anybody else. You done exact same when told of the feeding hunting habits of wild mink in OUR islands.... You crack on anyways, folk like you will always think they know best.... Will you be putting in your book that you had to ask on a forum how big ferrets were?lol

The man has a point.

Whatever arguments you are all having over this guys book.

Do me a favour Mink Man . . . . and don't stop posting about your hunting.

This is a hunting forum, and some folk forget that sometimes. You are practicing a unique and interesting form of hunting, and sharing it for us to read.

Like I've said, to me, that's great.

Or we could go back to. . . . show us your micros? How much is my e.u worth? and. . .. similar drivel.

P.S - I get the book writing thing. You are righting a few lines on ferrets. . . . Funnily enough it doesn't bother me either way if you are right or wrong. . . it aint my book!

Would you listen to somebody who tried calling you a liar for sharing what you know or have seen jai? He is just like one of these lurcher peddlers who thinks cos it makes sense on paper it wil in field. I'd call him kennel blind if he had dogs..

You say 'attacked' Minky, all I can see is that it started out as members offering you help and advice to ensure what you write is as correct as it can be, few paragraphs or not.. If you are being 'attacked' it's because of your attitude in reply.. Like Hot Meat said, it's the same way you tried to tell us all we were wrong and misguided about the damage American mink do here in the wild..

I must have missed a couple of threads mate?

From what I can gather, the lad knows f**k all about ferrets, but is more knowledgeable than me about hunting fish with mink, and I think that's kind of neat.

Who did he call arrogant for what?

It's interesting because there are A LOT of arrogant folk on here, and a lot of folk who are arrogant sometimes. And most of those. . . . I don't believe I have ever read a hunting report from. . . . . so he's winning on that front.

At the end of the day, who cares if he sinks his own book by not taking any advice. I didn;t even realise the man was writing a book. I don't care.

I just want the videos of mink vs fish.

Exactly mate, so lets not drive him off.

Hey Mink Man. . . . do these guys a favour and just accept that us brits know more about ferrets than you yanks and that in the context of the u.k countryside. . . .the American mink is a right c**t bag?

And they will hopefully man up, deal with how upset you made them, and get the f**k over it lol.

Or just not read your posts?

P.S I like your mink. . . . but if she popped her head up here. . . . she'd be dead.

And that's why I came here. I know that in comparison I'm down right ignorant about hunting with ferrets, as are my fellow Americans. I wouldn't have come here and asked the question if I felt like I knew everything. I have actually read EXTENSIVELY on ferrets and ferreting and the history ect ect. But I realize that just because you read something doesn't make it true.

And just because you read something true, doesn't make you an expert on the subject. There's only so much you can learn from reading. Real life experience teaches you things books can't, and Vice Versa. You guys have the real life experience I lack, and I was hoping I could basically get a verification that what I read was true,or have what I wrote corrected if it was wrong.

Instead of a verification, all I got was, "don't even try to write anything because you know nothing" Wow, that was helpful! Now I realize a few of you were confused and thought I was writing a book on ferreting, or at least a few chapters, but after I clarified the fact that I was only writing a few paragraphs on the subject, it didn't seem to make a difference, I was still somehow "unqualified" to write a couple paragraphs. I already knew that I was "unqualified", hence the reason I asked for help. I din't just pull what I wrote out of my butt ether. I did research on the subject first, then was hoping to ether get a verification, or clarification from you guys, just in case I misunderstood, or the authors who wrote what I read were just as ignorant as me. If I was the arrogant prick you guys think I am, I would have just sat and wrote what I wrote, and never checked with anyone about it, thinking that I knew everything already.

P.S.

And let the record show that I agree WHOLE HEARTEDLY with the idea of having someone else write a chapter on ferreting for me..... that is if I wanted a chapter on ferreting in my book. The fact is, I don't want a chapter on ferreting, I just wanted to use ferrets to make a quick little example, and that's it :)

Fair one  Rather than a chapter on ferrets vs polecats etc it may be worth having a small piece on the minks relatives with correct size diagrams of the different species. Just a thought, I think it would add to the book, especially if your going into the minks natural history

Yeah, actually I have a couple pages in one of my chapters that talks a little bit about different mustelids compared to mink, and I was thinking of putting up a diagram like that, but then changed my mind. Now that you bring it up again though, I think I just might do that! :-)
